What a fabulous weekend! The Spicer Banquet was held on Friday evening at the Spicer Legion. We were honored to be awarded the 2015 Spicer Business of the Year. It was a lovely evening celebrated with Ron and Kim’s family and friends, Glacial Ridge staff, fellow Spicer business owners, and citizens of Spicer. A special thanks to two of Kim’s sons for coming!
It was exciting to hear of all the new businesses in the Spicer community! We are really blessed to be surrounded by a thriving community full of smart and innovative business owners that help create such a wonderful place to live, work, and vacation. As Ron stated in the acceptance speech, we are so honored to have been chosen to receive this award. The kind words and community support have been over-whelming and greatly appreciated.
Another highlight of the evening was Ed Rauk’s speech as he was awarded the 2015 Spicer Citizen of the year. Ed is such a humble man and delivered a very heart-felt speech. He is a wonderful presence for our community and was truly deserving of the award. Congratulations, again, Ed and thank you for all that you do for our city!
During his speech Ron mentioned their love for the city of Spicer and Kim’s comment about how she sees the lake every day, and feels like she is on vacation all the time. It’s true—there really is no greater community, than Spicer, MN.
